Welcome!

Thanks for joining us! Our names are Emma and Sammy and we’re best friends with a passion for books. We started our journey through our Instagram @ladyandstar two years ago

and then onto our twitter, also @ladyandstar

and finally, created a blog through another site! Now, we’re revamping our blog in order to bring you reviews, and other fun posts, in a better way! We will be bringing you honest reviews on books and other bookish items, such as subscription boxes, candles, and more!

So, to get started, we’re going to introduce ourselves, and feel free to introduce yourself in the comments below!

Sammy: I’m 20 and a senior in college studying Media and Communication Studies. I’m also minoring in Theatre and Creative Writing in the hopes that I will become a best selling author! (One day) I’ve been a book worm since elementary school when I read The Spiderwick Chronicles and Harry Potter for the first time. Since then my love for reading has grown and is starting to get out of hand! I’m also a big music lover; I sing and have played the flute since fourth grade. I’m also an avid writer (hence the dream job), and love bullet journaling!

Emma: I am a Musical Theatre major with a minor in Professional Writing and Editing.  I hope to go to Grad school for publishing so that I may pursue my dreams of becoming a professional actress while also editing for a publishing company. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t desperately trying to shove a book in my purse or trying to sneak in a few more pages during class.  Even when I was little, going to the library was a HUGE treat!
