I haven’t done a haul post in a while, so I thought I would show you some of my August 2021 haul!
This isn’t the full amount of books, only the ones I remembered to put in a pile, and all of these were purchased from B&N. So there are no spoilers for OwlCrate or Fairyloot. I didn’t include any ARCs that I received or any e-books I got that month either, so this is basically just a B&N book hauls post!
Yeah, I got way too many books last month. Anyways – here’s my B&N August book haul!
So I have a weakness named Barnes & Noble – especially since my best friend works there. I’ll go to see her at work or meet up with her after work and even when I don’t mean to buy books, I somehow walk out with new books! It’s a real sickness.
I visited my friend at work twice in August and of course, I bought things both times. I have two friends who work there and they both teamed up on me. I had no chance.
The first trip to B&N I purchased six books:
The Library of the Dead by T.L. Huchu
The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen
Fortuna Sworn by K.J. Sutton
A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
Gild by Raven Kennedy
On my second trip to B&N, I wasn’t planning on buying any books, until my friend who works there basically threw the books in my hands and said I had to get them! So here are the books I was forced to buy:
Straight On ‘Til Morning by K.J. Sutton
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri
Kingdom of Rebels and Thorns by Frost Kay
An Heir Comes to Rise by C.C. Peñaranda
And this doesn’t even include all of the other books I got this month. My fiancée has just given up on telling me to stop buying books, because he knows it’s futile. At least for the first trip, I had a gift card for $60 and a very nice friend who gave me her employee discount. So the cost of the books weren’t as high as they normally would have been.
Ironically, I’m still trying to sell and get rid of books that I have and don’t want anymore. So I have a stack of books I’m trying to get rid of and stacks of books I bought and probably shouldn’t have. I have two TBR shelves and still haven’t taken the time to fit these books on there, because I have a feeling once I do, I’m just going to end up pulling them off to read. So stacks of books it is, I guess.
Someone please take my credit card from me!
Anyways, I wish I had kept track of all the books I received in August so you could see the full haul, but this is what I remembered to track and what I have to show. My friend Alexa @ Writing the Universe is a book buying fiend though – wayyyy worse than me! I have linked some of her recent haul posts that you should definitely check out!

Are you a book buying fiend? What’s the most amount of books you’ve received in one month?
If I count books I got at conventions, I’m pretty sure it’s like over 200 or something crazy like that. Maybe even more, I don’t even know anymore. I should probably keep track lol
