WWW Wednesday (9/1/21)

It feels weird to be doing a WWW Wednesday on the first of the month, but don’t worry, I’ll be posting my August wrap up hopefully later today! This week has been really good, but very hectic, because I finished my monthly TBR and somehow managed to read another book on top of that! I don’t know the last time I finished my monthly TBR, but I’m so happy I finally did – now onto September’s TBR, which you can check out here if you haven’t seen it yet!

WWW Wednesday’s is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and all it involves is answering three simple questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This past week has been a whirlwind! We adopted a kitten, Jupiter, on Saturday and have been trying to slowly introduce him to our resident cat, Maggie. It’s only been four days, but it’s been a long four days! Somehow, I managed to finish This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron and Vampires Never Get Old by Zoraida Córdova and Natalie C. Parker. Unfortunately, I did DNF Cazadora by Romina Garber – I haven’t decided if I want to post a DNF review, so that may or may not happen.

Currently, I’m over halfway finished with Mary, Will I Die? by Shawn Sarles, so I have a feeling I’m going to finish the book today. And I also started reading The Girls Are Never Gone by Sarah Glenn Marsh, but I’m only about 10% in right now, so I probably won’t get too far today, but we’ll see!

Once I finish those two, it’s on to my remaining TBR. I won an ARC of The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova from Goodreads, so I want to read that before it comes out. Or, at least, near the time that it comes out. I’m worried about reading The Lost Girls: A Vampire Revenge Story by Sonia Hartl, because it appears as a pdf on my computer, so I would only be able to read while I’m on my computer, which isn’t great. With kindle/pdf books, I like being able to read them wherever I am and not feel chained down to one spot, like with a laptop. I’m going to give it a go, because I have read books on my laptop before, it’s just not that fun.

Anyways! That’s my reading update for this week. Hope you enjoyed!
