WWW Wednesday (8/4/21)

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!

This past week, I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but I have started my August TBR and the one book I did read, and the book I’m currently reading, are so, so good! I’ve been enjoying more paranormal thrillers and I think August is going to end up a pretty spooky month for me, but we’ll see where the books take me. If you didn’t see my August TBR post, you can check it out here!

Here’s my reading update for this week!

WWW Wednesday’s is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and all it involves is answering three simple questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I finished The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould yesterday morning and immediately jumped into Mark of the Wicked by Georgia Bowers, which both ended up being paranormal thrillers. Though they have very different storylines and vibes, I am really enjoying both of these books. The Dead and the Dark was more thriller than paranormal fantasy and so far, Mark of the Wicked is more paranormal fantasy with a thriller plot line. If that makes sense. And, funny enough, the next two books on my TBR are also thrillers! The Devil Makes Three by Tori Bovalino is another paranormal thriller and A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee is a thriller.

August is going to be pretty thrilling for me!

Okay, I’m sorry. That was a horrible pun, but I had to do it.

I started Igniting Darkness by Robin LaFevers at the end of July, but my weekend was really busy and I didn’t get too far into it. I think I’m near 50% of the way through, if not 50% through, but I had to put it down to get through some of these blog tour books. I hope to be able to have enough time to pick it up soon to finish it, because I really love the duology, though I never read the original trilogy. This is making me want to read it more and more though!

Alright – that was my reading update for this week! I hope you guys enjoyed and let me know if you like these kinds of posts or if you’re annoyed by them and want me to stop. Personally, I enjoy doing them. It makes me feel productive when I have an update and can show what I’ve read, what I’m reading, and what I plan to read this week!

Have you read or plan to read anything fun this week? Let me know in the comments!
