June was a weird month. On the one hand, I did pretty well with my TBR and finally read a book I’ve been dying to read for a while! On the other hand, life has been hectic. I’m planning my wedding, trying to spruce up my house so we can have guests come over and enjoy the space, and all the while I’m trying to write, and work, and read, and ah! It’s a lot lol
So my apologies for the down time I had in May and beginning of June. I think I’m finally getting back on track and I think it shows based off how much I read! I also went ahead and linked my reviews for each book, so if you want to read my thoughts or find out more information on a book, be sure to check them out!

My TBR was eleven books long, and I managed to read nine of them, plus an extra one on the last day of the month! Bridge of Souls was a July TBR read, but I had some free time and was able to read it in one sitting. A lot of the books I read were really good, but I had a few duds in the mix. I was pretty disappointed by Better Together and The Nature of Witches, both highly anticipated reads for me! You’re So Dead was also pretty disappointing, but I didn’t have high hopes like the other two, so it kind of softened the blow for me.
On the other hand, From Blood and Ash completely surprised me and so did Heartbreakers and Fakers! I had heard wonderful things about From Blood and Ash, but I was so worried it wasn’t going to live up to my expectations that I down played it until I could read it. Meanwhile Heartbreakers and Fakers came out of left field. I received this book from the publisher and wasn’t expecting much, but it was such a good romance! I loved it so much I read it in one sitting.
The last few books I read this month were really good and it’s getting me excited for my July TBR! If you haven’t seen what I’m planning to read for July, you can check out my July TBR post here!
Let me know how your reading month went! Any books that surprised you? Or disappointed you?
It looks like a great selection of books – hopefully, July brings you some great reads 🙂
