Happy Pride month everyone!
While you can read queer books at any time of the year, I know a lot of people love to scream recommendations during Pride month. While I don’t wait or save books to recommend just during June, I did want to make a list of some queer YA books I’ve recently read, reviewed, and loved! Because recently, there’s been a lot.
I will put a label with the representation in this book. I tried to stick with books that have queer main characters (MC) or prominent characters. I have also linked my review if you’re interested in hearing my thoughts or finding out more about the book!

I didn’t mean to group books by their genre, but I guess that’s just kind of what happened. But now it’s easier to find a book you want to read, if you’re in the mood for a certain genre! Though I did notice it was hard to find some genres, like thrillers or historical fiction, that I recently read. And I’m unfortunately missing a lot of representation in this list too. Since this was based on what I’ve recently read, I didn’t go past 2021, but I have lots of books on my TBR that I’m hoping to get to soon, so maybe I’ll make another post like this in a few months! Let me know if you’re interested in that!
Please be sure to check out other lists from other queer bloggers! There are so many books I haven’t read that they are screaming about and you should definitely check them out!
And if you have any suggestions or recommendations for queer books, especially thrillers, historical fiction, or science fiction, leave a comment below!
