NetGalley Update: January 2021

It’s been a while since I’ve done a NetGalley update and since I’m working on getting through all of these reviews, I thought it would be good motivation to show how behind I am and maybe I’ll kick myself into action!

Most of these books I did request, though some are for blog tours and others were offered by the publisher or through a giveaway.

Here’s what I was approved for:

Here’s what I’m pending on:

Here’s what I was denied for:

While I’m sad I got denied for a lot of my highly anticipated 2021 releases, I’m also glad my list isn’t any longer. 23 is enough books for me to be freaking out about right now and I don’t know how many more I can juggle right now. It makes it more difficult when it’s not just books I requested either.

Some of the books I received are ones I requested, while others are from blog tours/giveaways/or from the publisher.

The ones are requested were:

  • A Curse of Roses
  • The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry
  • This Golden Flame
  • Shadow City
  • Phoenix Flame
  • A City of Ash and Embers
  • Written in Starlight
  • The Gilded Ones
  • The Chosen Ones

The ones for blog tours are:

  • Unchosen
  • Playing With Fire
  • Sing Me Forgotten

The ones I won in a giveaway are:

  • The Power We Share
  • Vampires Never Get Old
  • Ruinsong

And lastly, the ones I received from the publisher are:

  • House of Hollow
  • Amelia Unabridged
  • Slingshot
  • The Dead and the Dark
  • Down Comes the Night
  • These Feathered Flames
  • The Project
  • City of the Uncommon Thief

I’ll most likely leave the ones I won in a giveaway and requested on my own for last, since I should prioritize the blog tour titles and the ones given by the publisher, but as of right now it’s going by publication date. At least for the January releases. I just need to get through these titles are quickly as possible so I can read some other TBR books! I have been dying to finish the Daevabad trilogy, after having only read City of Brass, and I can’t do that if I’m behind on ARCs.

Plus Penguin sent me five more eARCs to read and ahhh omg! I do not have enough time in the week!

How’s your TBR going? Any books you’re trying to get caught up on?

I really should get back to requesting. It got to be too much for me and I felt bad if I had to DNF a book because I couldn’t get through it.

But I should request some of the books I’m really looking forward to! Thanks for sharing 🙂

You should request them! Even if I DNF a book, I still write a review just so the publisher knows you tried to read it rather than saying I will not review it. So worst thing is you don’t like it, although that’s definitely a bummer in itself!
